In recent years, streaming services like Amazon and Netflix have been major players at Sundance.
In a statement, Kaling, via CNET, said that she’s spent a lot of money with Amazon, so it was nice to see the company return the favor.
They both are basically swimming in money and thus can afford to spend it on projects like this.
