Five pieces of art will be selected by Focus Features, and the Selected Artists, according to the contest entry page, will receive $2,000 for each piece chosen.
Which is part of the reason why Focus Features partnered up with Talenthouse — a community for artists — to create Phantom Thread-specific artwork ahead of the movie’s wide release on Friday, January 19.
They’ll also potentially see their work used in the Phantom Thread marketing campaign.
Artists were encouraged to watch the film’s trailer, scan the movie’s social media accounts, and come up with designs for artwork that’s inspired by Paul Thomas Anderson’s vision.
