The duo’s paths first crossed on-screen in 2014’s Ride Along, a buddy comedy directed by Tim Story and written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi.
That said, Sumpter and Bruce McGill seem like pretty sure bets, having appeared in both prior Ride Along installments.
While mostly disliked by critics, Ride Along cleaned up at the box office, bringing in $154 million worldwide on a modest $25 million budget.
Outside of Hart and Cube, it’s unclear what other supporting cast members from the first two films will return.
