Sheridan Smith will be making her TV comeback in 2017 following a turbulent year that saw the actor leave behind her role in the West End production of Funny Girl following her father’s cancer diagnosis.
Presenters to have previously hosted episodes of Crackanory include Richard Ayoade, Catherine Tate, and Carrie Fisher.
A source told the Mirror of her performance on the show: “She was brilliant on set, really lovely to work with and read brilliantly.
UKTV and Dave have confirmed the BAFTA-winning actor will present an episode of Crackanory, a show based popular children’s series Jackanory in which presenters narrate adult tales for 15 minutes.
