Squid Game hails from writer-director Hwang Dong-Hyuk, who is best known for his works on South Korean films as The Fortress, Miss Granny, and Silenced.
The global phenomenon continues to gain recognition as it is still currently on the streamer’s Top 10 list in 94 countries.
The 9-episode survival thriller has been watched by 111 million accounts during its first 28 days, breaking a new Netflix record that surpasses Bridgerton‘s previews 82 million households record.
