The Hollywood Reporter has the numbers, and they report that new horror film Don’t Breathe is projected to make $22 million by the end of the weekend after earning $10 million Friday night.
Made on a budget of $10 million, it will become the latest horror film of the summer to exceed expectations.
Suicide Squad, the highest grossing opening for an August release, is expected to finish Sunday with an estimated $12 million.
While Suicide Squad might not have been oozing the quality that some people were expecting, the blockbuster has still held a pretty successful run at the box office.
