The CW Will Introduce the First Gay Superhero Lead

Freedom Fighters: The Ray is based on Grant Morrison’s comic Multiversity, a take on the Freedom Fighters superhero team that updated the patriotic DC characters to better reflect America’s demographics.

Freedom Fighters: The Ray is executive-produced by CW superhero honchos Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim.

The Ray is a member of the Freedom Fighters who, as a reporter, discovered a team of government scientists who were working to turn light into a WMD.
