In addition, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s number topped that of the 2019 Star Wars Celebration trailer release for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which only came in at 111 million views, and the Captain Marvel trailer (in a strictly digital to digital analysis), with 38.3 million, compared to 20.5 million.
Not only is that impressive number of views a record for a trailer belonging to a streaming series, but it’s also crushed the viewing records set by several other incredibly popular recent trailers.
Going back to last year’s Super Bowl, the Black Widow trailer nabbed 119 million views in its first 24 hours after the premiere, and the WandaVision spot which aired during the Emmy Awards in September (which had held the previous record for a streaming show) managed 53 million views.
