Netflix has released an early behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the first-ever screen adaptation of Netflix’s The Sandman, based on the DC comic book series from Neil Gaiman.
The video features Gaiman discussing the story and its highly-anticipated adaptation, as well as cast members Tom Sturridge and Gwendoline Christie, who will portray Dream and Lucifer, respectively.
Sandman, which launched DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint, ran for 75 issues beginning in 1989.
The Sandman is being described as a rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama, and legend are seamlessly interwoven.
