That’s a record-breaking figure as The Fate of the Furious aims for the biggest international opening weekend.
The Fate of the Furious opened in 65 territories this weekend, and it’s estimated that the action film will bring in over $530 million.
The film beat the previous record holder, Jurassic World ($316.7 million), by a whopping 36%.
Should those numbers hold for the weekend, then the film will become the largest worldwide opening launch, beating the behemoth Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($529 million), Jurassic World ($524.9 million), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($483.2 million).
