Mother’s Day might be this weekend, but we’ll have to wait another week for Universal Pictures’ just-announced The Mummy Day, a.k.a. a whole day, starting at noon on May 20, dedicated to erecting a 75-foot-tall sarcophagus at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles.
To prepare Princess Ahmanet’s sarcophagus for its revealing on The Mummy Day, the tomb required 18 wide-load tractor trailers to move all of the elements into place.
Oh, and Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Jake Johnson, Annabelle Wallis, and director Alex Kurtzman will be there too.
Universal had a 75-foot-tall, 7-ton replica of the Egyptian Princess Ahmanet’s sarcophagus constructed for the event.
