I can certainly empathize with the fact the two are in love and want to be married, and not everyone needs to live int he U.S., but I cannot empathize with the fact they’re so dead-set on it happening one exact way where everyone in their lives absolutely needs to be on board.
It’s exhausting, and even more so when Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh could have just lived in America and already finished up with this process.
Neither of them would’ve had to deal with Sumit’s parents or the cultural taboos of being divorced in India.
