Rory had broken up with her sort of invisible boyfriend, and also broken things off with London booty call Logan; she’d given up her apartment in New York and moved home and had no real job prospects lined up.
Sure, she was writing the story of her life with Lorelai, but there’s no telling if anyone will ever pay her for that.
It’s pretty clear from Amy Sherman-Palladino’s comments to BuzzFeed that she’s not 100 percent sold on Rory Gilmore keeping her baby and raising the young one Lorelai-style.
She seems to be implying that Rory really isn’t ready for the responsibility, which certainly makes sense considering how up in the air most of Rory’s life still was by the time the revival ended.
