Oliva’s quote doesn’t actually disprove what he refers to as the “revisionist” theory, that Warner Bros. changed direction.
That swiftly became Batman V Superman, a film that brought the Last Son of Krypton and the Dark Knight into a head-on collision.
As early as April 2013, Oliva insists that Snyder had drawn up storyboards with a Batman inspired by Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns.
