Juliet or not, Wanamaker is one of the most beloved stars of stage and screen in the UK.
The arts were always in Wanamaker’s blood: she was born in New York to Canadian actor Charlotte Holland and American actor and director Sam Wanamaker.
It’s a cause she’s long advocated for, along with that of improving the roles available to women on screen.
